The Young Dancer Workshop is an introduction to intensive ballet training for students not yet on pointe and ages 9-12.  Students receive daily ballet classes along with additional lessons in character, modern dance, choreography and pre-pointe.  Dance related lectures, stretch and conditioning class or dance film. Students work closely with many of the same prestigious faculty found at our Summer Intensive. Small classes with a focus on healthy dance practices encourage personalized instruction in a nurturing environment. Students have the option of attending one or both of the workshops, admission is by audition only (auditions will take place at Colorado Ballet).

Sample Daily Schedule:

10-11:45 a.m.


12-1 p.m.

Character, Pre Pointe, or Batterie

1-1:30 p.m.


1:30-3 p.m.

Choreography or Modern

3-4 p.m.

Lecture Series, Anatomy, or Pilates
